To participate in the 2017 Face of America Liberty, each cycling participant must meet or exceed their registration category fundraising minimum at rider check-in Ride registration and bus transportation fees do not apply toward the fundraising total. In order to ride, those who have not met their minimum amount must pay the balance by check or by credit card at ride check-in.
Note: Registration and meal/bus ticket fees do not apply toward the minimum.
Participants are responsible for making personal lodging arrangements for Saturday evening if lodging is necessary. Complete information about lodging options can be found on our Event Logistics page.
Riders can purchase a Sunday afternoon bus ticket to return to Highland Falls ollowing arrival in Manhattan. This $25 coach ticket is required for anyone taking the bus. Tickets are not available in New York. You may choose to have a family member or friend pick you up in New York so a return bus ticket will not be necessary. The ticket can be ordered at the time of registration or it can be added through the Face of America Liberty store. Buses leave New York between 4:15 and 4:30 p.m. for Higland Falls. There are no refunds for unused bus tickets.
Rider and volunteer check-in will be held at Face of America Liberty in two sessions - all participants must check-in for the ride. On Saturday afternoon, October 7, check-in will be open from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Fairbridge Inn & Suites, 17 Main Street in Highland Falls, New York. On Sunday, October 8 between 6 and 7 a.m., registration will be held at the United
States Military Academy's Buffalo Soldier Field north parking lot. The Saturday afternoon check-in will be much less crowded and hectic than the Sunday morning check-in. If you can attend the Saturday check-in, or have a colleague or friend check you in, you will save time Sunday morning.
Teams may collectively choose to combine their fundraising to meet or exceed the minimum overall fundraising for the team by participant category. For teams that combine fundraising, each team member should contribute at least $10.00 toward the team's overall total.
Face of America Liberty begins within the grounds of the United States Military Academy. As such, all participants and volunteers entering the grounds have specific identification requirements.
During online registration, participating athletes and volunteers must include their driver's license or passport information in the process. World T.E.A.M. Sports will be providing to the Academy a full listing of athletes and volunteers prior to the event to assist in gate entry.
>> U.S. Citizens: All West Point visitors age 17 and older MUST provide valid photo identification at the entry gate. This includes a current valid driver's license or passport, or a school ID (must be school-age). Each individual, age 17 and older, must present their own form of identification. World T.E.A.M. Sports is not permitted to present ID bundles for the group. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Acceptable alternate forms of identification are a U.S. passport, a permanent resident card/Alien Registration Receipt (form 1-551), a foreign passport with a temporary I-551 stamp or visa or an employment authorization document that contains a photograph (Form I-766).
>> Foreign Nationals: All visitors, no matter their age, participating in Face of America Liberty MUST provide a valid passport and visa upon entry. World T.E.A.M. Sports is not permitted to present ID bundles for the group. Each individual, age 17 and older, must present their own form of identification. Anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
