Rocky Mountain High: The Rush of Adventure in Colorado

This September 15-17, lives will be changed in an inclusive team event.

Adventure Team Challenge Colorado Rock ClimbThe Adventure Team Challenge from national non-profit World T.E.A.M. Sports is an inspiring weekend including river rafting, mountain biking, orienteering and rock sports in Colorado’s rugged high mountains northeast of Eagle. Adaptive athletes, retired and active military and first responders and able-bodied civilians will join together to successfully complete physical and technical challenges on water, land and rock.

Each participating team includes two adaptive athletes, one being a wheelchair user, working together with three able-bodied athletes to successfully complete each stage. Teams travel together, solve technical issues on the course and strategically determine best practices to efficiently and safely traverse the rugged rocky terrain of the Colorado River valley. Although the terrain can by physically demanding, it also is breathtakingly beautiful. The cooperation and camaraderie of the participating teams also provides for an unforgettable experience.

Created and managed by World T.E.A.M Sports under permit from the Bureau of Land Management, the Adventure Team Challenge Colorado has a limited number of team entries. Team registration is at no charge, but each participating team is required through its members or by sponsorship to raise the minimum in funds for the team category prior to the start of the Challenge.

Funds raised will cover the costs associated with the 2017 Adventure Team Challenge. All remaining funds raised through the event will support upcoming World T.E.A.M. Sports events worldwide, including the Coastal Team Challenge, and Adventure Team Challenge events in Washington D.C. and New York's Catskill Mountains.

The 2017 Adventure Team Challenge Colorado is supported through sponsors and partners including American Portfolios Financial Services, Benson & Botsford, Deven’s Recycling, Pearl Meyer, Penske Truck Rental, Sila and Timberline Sports.
